This £500,000 fast track refurbishment and fit out of 20,000 ft2 of library space, meeting rooms and offices was delivered in 8 weeks from start to finish. Working as Principle Contractor alongside the Interior Designer and mechanical services consultants we delivered a first class project which included innovative low energy lighting, a ‘monodraft’ fresh air ventilation system along with the adaptation of existing LTHW and air conditioning systems.

New suspended ceilings, solid and glazed partitions help to create modern and light office and meeting rooms and low cost solutions like repainting the existing doors and frames allowed the University to maximise the potential of their budget, without compromising the feel of the space.

Clever use of contrasting carpet colours and textures helped to define zones and break up large areas whilst wall colour and bespoke signage assist with both way finding and zoning of areas, delivering a co-ordinated and corporate scheme.

An extensive amount of bespoke joinery and furniture required meticulous detailing and planning to ensure that the project was delivered on time and on budget and to the very highest level of quality.

“The refurbishment has transformed the area and turned it into the flexible and modern learning environment that we require. Eos played an important role in achieving this.”

Heather McBryde-Wilding, Library and Learning Services Head of Service Development, University of Northampton.
