St Margaret’s Surgery, Olton
This scheme included the creation of two new Treatment Rooms, connected by a purpose built sluice room. The specification of finishes and products was carried out in collaboration with the NHS Infection Control Department to ensure a fully compliant scheme. Features such as hygienic suspended ceilings, sealed recessed modular lighting and Microban paint finishes help to mantain a sterile environment. Consulting rooms, waiting and circulation areas all received a sympathetic refurbishment, giving the building a new lease of life.
“This project has been a real success in collaboration between Infection Prevention and Eos, following issues identified as part of routine infection prevention auditing. It illustrates how utilizing specialist infection prevention at all stages of the design has resulted in a build that meets the needs of all parties to ensure that the surgery has an environment which meets their needs and contributes to their assurance against the Hygiene Code.”
